HIGH VELOCITY OXYGEN FUEL

HVOF is today’s standard for applying carbide and metal coatings. The high-velocity coatings process produces the industry’s highest-quality carbide and metal coatings.

Near-wrought densities and unsurpassed bond strengths characterize this process. HVOF coatings withstand the most punishing thermal, abrasive, and corrosive action in industrial applications. We utilize this technology to ensure that each particle achieves full melt, making this well-suited for the most demanding wear. The high-velocity discharge from the nozzle produces a very thin and evenly applied coating. The final coating’s hardness, corrosion resistance, and overall wear resistance are often superior to plasma spraying. With HVOF, the gases go through a converging-diverging nozzle, with gas velocities reaching a velocity near 8000 fps which is particularly crucial when applying tungsten carbide coatings. ROBOTIC PTA WELDING (HOT PROCESS)

We use this specialized Plasma Transfer Arc welding unit for hard surfacing with different types of powders. The ID torch lets us weld inside bushings to increase endurance and acid resistance. Some typical applications for such equipment are Spiral Rollers, Anvils, Pump Castings, Pump Covers, Hardface Inside Housings, Piping, Valve Stem, Valve Seats, and many more.

JET KOTE SYSTEM (COLD PROCESS)

Our experience with this process has proven to have a superior bond than chrome (25 thousand of an inch of thickness compared to 10 thousand). The process for Jet Kote is to apply special Powders for hard surfacing and build-up applications. Due to the extreme pressure, it impregnated the powder into the material. It is a cold process, allowing no distortion whatsoever. Some typical applications are Hard Surfacing Pumps, Pump Castings, Chipper Parts, Planner Rolls, Stainless Steel Shafting, Bearing Journals, and many more.

EXTREME CARBIDE

We apply this Carbide system by the use of a mig welding machine hooked up to a carbide canister vibrator, which allows us to rebuild worn parts and, at the same time, overlay with carbide particles at a desired thickness. These particles come in different sizes, from fine to extra coarse, allowing us to apply the size needed for the application. We use this system where there is a lot of abrasive wear. We can put extreme carbide on hog hammers, auger blades, etc.
